ZIMBABWE’S confirmed Covid-19 cases have risen to 29 as the country battles to contain the global pandemic.

Ministry of Health and Child Care said the latest patient is a Bulawayo resident bring to 11 the number of infected people in the country’s second largest city.

“The Ministry would like to report that of the 101 PCR tests done in Bulawayo on the 22nd of April 2020, one was positive for Covid-19.

“Today, a total of 460 tests were done as detailed in table 1 below, giving a total of 5 450 screening and diagnostic tests done to date,” said the ministry.

Harare still has the most cases at 12 with Bulawayo in second.

The disease is till only in five of the country’s six provinces with Matabeleland North, which was first to record a case in the country, still having only one, while Mashonaland East and West have 4 and 1 respectively.
