Zimbabwean fashion icon Gilmore ‘Tee’ Moyo has is set to show off his work at the GT Bank Fashion Weekend in Lagos Nigeria.
The premier fashion show that is running from the 9th to the 10th of November.
The fashion show is a free business platform designed to market Africa’s growing fashion industry to the world.
Gilmore Tee is known for grooming some of Zimbabwe’s outstanding fashion brands such as Ara Kani, Leverenge, Sana Designs and Thembani Mubochwa.
He recently made it into this year’s Forbes Africa list of 30 under 30, a list which includes Africa’s top entrepreneurs, entertainers and leaders and influencers.
The fashion facilitator, PR consultant and media practitioner said the fashion show presents an opportunity to learn and grow with the continent’s booming fashion industry.
“The only way we can do better in our own industries is when we learn from those that are doing well.
“I am constantly attending events across the continent and the globe at large, because I would like to see how they implement their initiatives and also bring that back home.
“As someone who is working on launching a Pan-African fashion platform, I can only execute it well if I am exposed to excellence,” Gilmore Tee said.
He is also the brains behind the Intwasa fashion show and iFashion Fest.
