ZIMBABWE recorded three more cases of Covid-19 bringing the number to 31, Ministry of Health and Child Care has said.
Two of the three cases are local transmissions related to case 28 – former minister and Mhondoro-Mubaira MP Sylvester Nguni’s 82-year-old late mother.
This brings Mashonaland West numbers to three.
Government is still frantically trying to account for the source the now deceased granny’s infection whose tests had to be repeated posthumously after the family queried her diagnosis.
She reportedly stayed in an isolated homestead with two maids and a herd boy and has no known direct contact with a known case or anyone who has come from a Covid-19 hotspot.
The other case was recorded in Harare bringing its tally to 13. Bulawayo remains the second most affected province with 11.
Mashonaland East still has four and Matebeleland North still has one.
